German Electronic Music

Okay, I know this probably sounds weird, but I have recently got into German electronic music.

My current favourite is Alien Vocabulary by Mind Flux

"German electronic music composers Michael Kersten and Thomas Fanger met at the Berlin open air festival "Klangmeile" in 1979. They combined their analogue synthesizers and sequencers, which were mostly custom made and created their first psychedelic sound sculptures. In the 80's Fanger and Kersten focused more on rhythm based electronic experimental ideas. They started to combine their psychedelic roots with electronic beats in the late 80`s under the name of Mind-Flux."
I really like this type of music. It's sort of chill, but upbeat at the same time, and it's like a musical orgasm. I can't wait to listen to this high!

Another favourite of mine is Deep Space by Keller & Schönwälder, and, as Alien Vocabulary, was realeased in the 80s. Again, I haven't heard full albums, just various songs from favrious artists. There are a few songs like this on youtube so if you want to listen to more, just search for one of the aforementioned artists or something!

Buffalo Towers

I have a really weird obsession with platform shoes, and... just look at them! I don't really know much about Buffalo Towers, except they are beautiful, and impossible to find, let alone in my size.

I know office sell them, but I don't like the shape of the soles, and they only do women's sizes. Which sucks.

So yeah. Here's today's item of lust. If anyone knows where I can get any buffalo towers in UK size 9 that ship to the uk and stuff, let me know.

A quick post about mash-ups

Okay this is just quick, but over the past few days I have been addicted to 'mash ups' of songs. Everyone knows the Carlos Serrano mix of The XX and Kanye west, but I found an even more beautiful mix.

Normally I don't like Adele, but when paired with The XX, a beautiful pairing is made. It's been on repeat for like 4 days, and I regret nothing. Sorry this was quite short but I just thought I'd share!

Also I noticed there were quite a few mixes involving The XX.

Underground x Izzue Creepers/Winklepickers

These are the shoes I have been lusting over for AGES!

I'm not really sure wether to call them creepers or winklepickers, so let's call them creeperpickers!
They are the Underground X Izzue Collaboration by Underground and Izzue. There is a whole collection of them and they are in their third series, and are some of the most beautiful shoes I've seen in my entire life.
They are available here, along with many other beautiful shoes.

They come in uk sizes 3-11 (US 5-12 I think) and will set you back £156 which is about
$247.

Here is the first band I'm going to post. Margot & The Nuclear So and So's

Margot & The Nuclear So and So's are an American folk-y acoustic-y band from Indianapolis, Indiana. They aren't new or anything, so you may have heard of them, but I only discovered them a few days ago.

This is a song called Broad Ripple is Burning from their 2008 EP 'Daytrotter Session'

Normally this isn't really my type of music, but this song is simply beautiful. Just the guitar intro, then with the beautiful harmonies. However, I must say some of their other songs, such as Vampires in Blue Dresses and Skeleton key, although still lovely, sound a bit like something you'd listen to when going through your depressed emo kid stage. Admittedly, I haven't actually heard any of their albums in full, just dome songs from some albums, but think Margot & The Nuclear So and So's are a lovely band, with, not the most original sound, but a good one nonetheless!

Here are is a link to their debut album on'The Dust of Retreat' from 2006. iTunes and Amazon mp3.
